Life ISN'T Fair!

Isn't that what we were told from the time we were little? When we were big enough to demand that we be given what the other guy had, isn't that what our parents said?

And yet, here we are, full-grown adults. Congress is trying to tell us that everything has to be fair.

Health care and insurance must be offered to everyone. And it must be fair.

Jobs must be available to everyone. Again, it must be fair.

Oil companies and insurance companies cannot make too much of a profit over their investment. That's not fair to small business owners who don't see that kind of return. It's not fair.

Well, Congress. Here's something I've learned the hard way:

LIFE'S NOT FAIR!

Ask my six year old son who has Type 1 Diabetes. He has to poke his finger 5 times a day. And he has to get at least 4 shots of insulin a day. He can tell you life isn't fair.

If my husband works hard at a job that offers a great insurance policy, and we pay high premiums for said policy, it's TOO BAD IF IT'S NOT FAIR TO ANYONE ELSE!

LIFE'S NOT FAIR!

Quit trying to make it fair. In your attempt to make it fair, you are being unfair to those who are EARNING what they RECEIVE!

Stay out of my insurance! My son's life depends on it!
